Biography: Mr. Morton served as a Judicial Law Clerk to Senior Superior Court Judge Michael E. Beale of the North Carolina Superior Court, District 20A. He also taught criminal justice courses in constitutional law, national security law, and terrorism law as an Adjunct Professor at Austin Peay State University.

Mr. Morton's pro-bono work includes the NC Bar Association's LEAP program in 2008, and in 2009, serving as a mediator for the North Carolina Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense organization. Mr. Morton has been with the firm since 2007.

Mr. Morton is recently married and enjoys spending time with his new family. He also enjoys traveling and running. Mr. Morton plans on beginning a Master's in Economics this fall through an executive program at the University of Detroit-Mercy. Mr. Morton has recently received his fishing license and enjoys battling rock-fish whenever he gets the chance.
